Student clashes, dozens of police on standby USU Campus

Medan, Medan Police alerted at least 70 police personnel on the campus of North Sumatra University (USU), Saturday (09/10/2011) morning. These strict safeguards anticipate aftershocks pascabentrokan antarmahasiswa clashed.

According to the Medan police chief, Comr Tagam Sinaga said, the guard continues until Saturday morning.

"If the situation was safe, campus personnel will be pulled out. But now the guard is tightened until the morning," said Tagam at USU Campus, Jl. Dr. Mansyur, Medan, on Saturday (09/08/2011).

Tagam also mentioned, due to clashes student at the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Letters, a prospective student who is following the introduction of Campus Orientation (ospek) hit by stones as it passed on the scene.

"From the reports, only one student was injured as a result hit by stones. Until now there is no student is secured," said Tagam.

Until Saturday morning at around 1:00 pm, the environmental conditions in the USU campus is still tense. Dozens of students from both camps are fighting to remain in their respective faculty.
