Garuda bekerja sama dengan RBS untuk mendatangkan 4 pesawat.

VIVAnews - PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk akan mendatangkan 11 pesawat baru dari Airbus dan Boeing tahun ini. Salah satunya dipenuhi dari kerja sama dengan RBS Aviation Capital dengan pengadaan empat pesawat Boeing 737-800 NG.

Dalam rilis Garuda disebutkan, dua pesawat telah terlebih dahulu diterima Garuda pada Juli 2010 dan Januari 2011. Sementara itu, dua pesawat lainnya akan diserahkan pada Mei dan Juli 2013 sebagai pengembangan dan peremajaan (fleet revitalization) armada Garuda.
Empat pesawat tersebut dilengkapi dengan “audio & video on demand (AVOD)” dan state–of–the–art entertainment pada setiap kursinya. Salah satu dari dua pesawat yang telah diterima Garuda tersebut didesain dengan livery Garuda lama era tahun 1960-an.

Direktur Utama Garuda, Emirsyah Satar, mengatakan pada 2015 Garuda akan mengoperasikan 153 pesawat terdiri atas B737-800NG, A330-300/200 dan B777-300ER dengan rata–rata umur pesawat hanya 4,4 tahun.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) RBS Aviation Capital, Peter Barrett, mengatakan kerja sama itu pertama kalinya dilakukan di Indonesia. Pesawat baru itu langsung didatangkan dari pabriknya kepada Garuda. (art)
